About VRDB
The Voter Registration in Africa Database was created as a part of a broader project to develop and promote sustainable voter registration methodologies and models in Africa. EISA is implementing this project with the support of the UN Electoral Assistance Division (UNEAD).
The knowledge generated by this project and the experience shared will enable election administrators and donors to make more informed decisions on methodologies and technology for voter registration.
If you have a new / updated document please send it to vrafrica@eisa.org.za to be included into the database.
Project Activities
- Case studies in six African countries
- Conferences and workshops with interested electoral stakeholders and
- Desktop research to identify and locate existing African resources on Voter Registration
The purpose of the database is to make information about voter registration freely accessible. The database features an easy to use search facility for visitors to the web site. It houses over 1000 resources in three languages (English, French and Portuguese) and covers most African countries.
Special thanks are extended to the authors and publishers for granting permission to make these resources available to the public via the web site.
